Announcing The Farm Dog Rescue to Martin County

FOR RELEASE
July 24, 2018

Announcing The Farm Dog Rescue to Martin County. The Farm Dog Rescue will support the no kill movement and animal welfare in Martin County, Florida. We rescue and adopt dogs, educate people and help animals in need within our community. The Farm Dog Rescue has made it a priority to provide spay and neutering to help reduce pet overpopulation in Martin County.

The animals of Martin County will have an advocate on hand to help where needed. Educational programs for children within the community are key to making sure animals will be cared for with love and dignity. We have an “I need help” link on our website for those that might need help feeding a dog, surrendering a pet or for answering general questions.

“I am beyond excited to launch The Farm Dog Rescue and provide some unique services to Martin County while saving dogs. The Farm Dog Rescue was designed with you in mind and we will be counting the miracles as they are made. Animal Rescue is my lifelong dream and I am blessed to have so many wonderful volunteers that will help us succeed,” stated Keri Burgess, Founder and President of The Farm Dog Rescue. Burgess has been involved in animal rescue for over 15 years, she has served on the Board of Directors for Dogs and Cats Forever in Fort Pierce and has volunteered for four other shelters. Burgess has been a long-time advocate for animals in Martin County, being a part of the Martin County Animal Task Force and getting the “no tether” ordinance instituted in Martin County in 2015.

We are just getting started but will be announcing Spay/Neuter events and other educational opportunities as they come available. Thank you all for your support!
